About the event
Christie Grant is a wonderful young Kent based artist specialising in printmaking and book binding as well as other traditional art forms and digital printing and we are very proud to be showing her first Solo Show!
Her show named "Creations of a Dreamer" is a show of drawings and printmaking. Through the exhibition the artist will be exposing the audience to a fanciful view of their world with her playful yet dramatic works.
Over the past few years the majority of Christies work focuses on themes of mental health. The artworks that contain imagery of brains is the artists way of explaining her personal experience of mental health. Recently the artist has begun a journey toying with the macarbe and the twisted stories of Grimm's Fairy Tales, with print such as "Joyride and Joringel" and "Red Riding Hood".
